Energy for coal mines

Veolia Powerline Kaczyce supplies electricity on the 110 kV voltage level for a unit isolated from the Czech electricity grid; the unit is composed of two hard coal mines, Darkov and ČSM, owned by OKD. Some 400 GWh of electrical energy is supplied every year. The electricity is supplied over a 110 kV overhead electricity network along the Pogwizdów transformer station – the Darkov transformer station route, with a lead to the ČSM transformer station, which is owned by Veolia Powerline Kaczyce all the way to the national border.

Energy for domestic customers

Veolia Powerline Kaczyce also supplies energy to domestic customers connected to the company’s 6kV and LV distribution network in the area of a former mine. Every year, several GWh are supplied.
